Indianapolis

Stanley Warner Banyon, 75, of Indianapolis, passed away September 24, 2021.  He was born on December 5, 1945 in Benton Harbor, Michigan to the late Willard and Mary Louise Banyon.

Stan graduated from WMU and then spent a brief time in Colorado.  He returned to Benton Harbor where he worked as a sales rep for WHFB until his retirement.  It was there Stan met his future wife, Lynda Jill Shauman, who was a package deal that Stan accepted whole heartedly and unconditionally.  Stan and Jill spent the next 42 years traveling, golfing, and riding his beloved Harleys. The couple were inseparable.

Stan was a diehard U of M and Cubs fan all his life.  He was a one-of-a-kind man and a fighter until the end.  He will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Linda Lewis.  Stan leaves behind his wife, Lynda Banyon; children, Jeff (Melissa) Hucko and Lisa (Darren) Jones; brother, Steve (Hilda) Banyon; 8 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren; nephew and niece, Alan (Charlotte) Lewis and Debbie (Hal) Ecksten and their children; and the numerous, amazing friends he made throughout the years (especially the Channel Rats at Lake Wawasee).

A private memorial will be held for family and friends at a later date.
