Randall "Randy" Loren White

March 3, 1951 — December 23, 2020

Indianapolis

Randall “Randy” Loren White, age 69, of Indianapolis, IN died December 23, 2020. Born March 3, 1951, he was the son of the late Hershel Eugene White and Helen Joyce White; and stepmother, Margaret White.

Randy attended Arsenal Technical High School in Indianapolis and retired as a machinist from K-Whit Tools, a manufacturing business founded by his brother, Kenny White. Randy was well known for his mechanical skills and ability to fix anything from a ‘Hardinge’ automatic screw machine to a drag racing engine.  He had a thirst for knowledge and looked forward to lively current event discussions with family over holiday dinners.

At an early age, Randy caught the racing bug from his father, Hershel, and his uncle, Stewart Joyce, who both raced stock cars. Randy’s favorite pastime was drag racing his car and motorcycle at Indianapolis Raceway Park and Muncie Dragway.  Many fun days were spent at the track.

Randy loved spending time with his family and friends. He was known for his generosity and his loyalty to longtime friends, many of whom he had known since his grade school days. When asked how they will remember him, friends said he had a kind heart and he was always the life of the party.

He loved all genres of music. He enjoyed studying the lyrics, history of the bands and the heart of the music. His favorite band was the Doors and he even named one of his dogs “Morrison”.

Randy will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his parents, Randy was preceded in death by his brother, Kenneth R. White, of Indianapolis, IN; and sister, Valerie J. Conley of Glendale, AZ.

Randy is survived by his sisters, Molly K. Robertson, Muncie, IN and Barbara W. Wallace, St. Louis, MO; stepsister, Deborah Endly; stepbrothers, Robert and Richard Endly of Minneapolis, MN; and many nieces and nephews.

Randy is also survived by his long-time former sweetheart, Johna Cline and her daughter, Rachael Cline Coffel. Johna’s son, Brian Cline, preceded him in death.  Randy loved and cared for Rachael and Brian like his own children.

At this time there will be no service.  A celebration of life may be held at a later date.

Randy’s 11-year-old Rat Terrier, Jonas, was his constant companion. Jonas has been rehomed to a loving family.  Any memorial contributions can be made to the East Side Animal Hospital 5996 Massachusetts Ave, Indianapolis, IN 46218 www.eastsideanimalhospindy.com
