Linda Ann (Walsh) Herbert

August 5, 1949 — January 18, 2021

Indianapolis

Linda Ann Walsh Herbert passed away peacefully on January 18, 2021 at home in Indianapolis after an extended illness. She was in the company of her loving family.

Born on August 5, 1949 in Kingston, PA, Linda was the daughter of Paul J. Walsh and Martha Sheehan Walsh. She grew up in Forty Fort, PA, attending Forty Fort schools where she met her husband Thomas E. (Ted) Herbert. They have been married for 49 years. Linda was a member of the first graduating class (1967) of the newly consolidated Wyoming Valley West School District.

Linda has been a long time resident of Indianapolis, residing in Butler-Tarkington; she and her husband recently relocated to College Park. She was employed in accounting for many years at Mitchell & Scott Machine Company.  She retired as comptroller at Tremain Tile. Linda was a past member of the Riviera Club and Geist Yacht Club.

Linda was adventurous, kind and compassionate, sweet and funny, with a big smile and a warm heart. She was a good friend and will be missed by all.

Linda is survived by her dearly loved family: husband, Ted; daughter, Jessica Price and her husband Martin Price; and beloved grandchildren, Kayden and Logan Price, who were the light of Nana’s life, in whom she took great pride.

Also left to mourn Linda’s loss are sister, Karen Keefer; niece, Erin Lin Keefer; nephew, Griff Keefer and wife Lisa and their children Liam, Charles and Alexandra Keefer, all of PA; her husband’s brothers and sister, Wray Herbert, James Herbert and Margaret Herbert Goss; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Private services will be held for the immediate family. A memorial service will be held at a future date.
