Karen Linda Beach, age 75, passed away on Wednesday January 27th at St. Vincent Hospital in Carmel, IN. She was born in Toronto, Canada on May 29th 1945 to Helen and Norman Frost. She was the middle child of six siblings: Jack, Glen, Allan (deceased), Judy and Susan (deceased).
After graduating high school in Florida, she returned to Evansville, IN and became a stay at home mom to her three children: Michelle, Kimberly and David. Later in life, she found success as a blackjack dealer where her quick-witted personality engaged all those who played at her table. Following retirement, Karen moved to Fishers, Indiana in order to be closer to her loved ones.
Besides spending time with family, Karen enjoyed gardening, Sudoku puzzles, reading, Coca-Cola and caring for her dogs Ginger and Sadie. Her six grandchildren- Payton, Nolan, Danielle, Katie, Brianna and Mitchell will continue to remember Karen’s generous and determined spirit (along with many others).
In keeping with her nature, a private celebration of life ceremony will be planned for immediate family at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be given to the Julian Center, 2011 N Meridian St, Indianapolis, IN 46202.
