Obituary
ELMA BROMWELL (Howard), age 93, of Carmel, died of heart failure March 13, 2023.
She was born in Norwood, Ohio on September 3, 1929 along with her twin brother Emerson J. to parents Lola Howard (Prather) and John Smither Howard.
Elma loved people, animals and beautiful flowers. She worked in data processing until she was 75 years old because she enjoyed being around people. She cherished the companionship of several dogs in her lifetime, and always wanted her yard and her house filled with beautiful plants.
Elma was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Bromwell; and brothers, Arnold, Emerson and Billy Ray. She also mourned the death of her son, Steven Ray Bromwell; and her grandson, Steven Ray Jr.
She is survived by her daughter, Diane Bromwell (Lee Nassau); and two grandsons, Spencer Bromwell Nassau (Megan) and Tanner Bromwell Nassau.
