Obituary

It is with extreme sadness that we announce the passing of Deborah Jane Montague Sapienza, 62. Debbie left our earth Christmas Day in Westfield, Indiana after a heroic and valiant fight against pancreatic cancer. She passed in the comfort of her home with family by her side. Debbie was born in Tetbury, England June 28, 1959. All that know Debbie know there is no way to put how impactful she was into words. Debbie was a beloved caregiver, friend, wife, and mother. Debbie truly lived by the “Golden Rule”, “do unto others as you would have them do unto you”. She devoted her life to the care and success of her children and extended caregiving through those around her.  Whether it was an English cooked dinner, hand knit blanket, or warm hug, Debbie was dedicated to supporting and enriching the life of those around her.

Survivors include husband of 32 years, Mike Sapienza and children Chloe Sapienza and Dominic Sapienza. Additional survivors include mother, Edith Audrey Montague (Lea), brother David Montague & sister-in-law Amanda Montague, and nieces Hannah Montague and Rachel Montague.

Debbie is met heaven side by her father Desmond Montague.

An intimate celebration of life will be held in Westfield, Indiana followed by a service in England to where her soul will be set free.
