Clifford M. Eagle, 88, of Carmel, passed away on April 27, 2022 surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Corbin, Kentucky to Matt and Ione Eagle in 1934. After graduating from Corbin High School, he attended Eastern Kentucky University’s School of Business and earned his Bachelor’s degree. In 1956, Clifford married his high school sweetheart, Gretchen Boone just before he enlisted in the US Army.
After his military service, he joined the Ford Motor Company as a sales representative in Cincinnati, Ohio. His career took him and his family to Omaha, Nebraska and Carmel, Indiana where he was the District Manager of the Parts and Service Division in Indianapolis. After working for Ford Motor Company for twenty years, he continued to work in the automobile sales industry. In retirement, Clifford enjoyed tending to his yard, playing the piano and cheering for his Kentucky Wildcats basketball team. He had a deep devotion for reading his Bible every day. His faith in God was unwavering.
Clifford was preceded in death by his beloved Gretchen; his grandson, Kyle Yoas; and his three siblings, Kenneth Eagle, Marcella Clark and Harold Eagle. Clifford is survived by his children, Lesa (Kevin) Yoas, Lydia (John) Wright, Kevin Eagle, and Lorna (Gene) Judd. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Kristin (Aaron) Ehrie, Grant (Samantha) Eagle, David Wilson, Jessica (Gavin) Miebach, Jessica Judd and Dalton Judd. Clifford will be remembered for his kind and loving heart for his family and friends, his sharp mind, and his quick wit. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Orchard Park Presbyterian Church, 1605 E. 106th Street, in Indianapolis on May 1, 2022 at 2:00pm following visitation at 1:00pm.
