Anne Lucille (Wortman) Donaldson

October 21, 1941 — September 27, 2020

Carmel

Anne Lucille Donaldson,

78, of Carmel, passed away September 27, 2020.  She was born in Indianapolis to the late Richard and Mary Wortman on October 21, 1941.  Anne grew up on the south side of Indianapolis and earned her Associate’s in Business from Indianapolis University.  She worked as an administrative secretary and retired from I.T. W. Inc.

Anne had many interests.  She enjoyed sewing, poetry, books and audible books and Native American art.  Anne was a bit of a smart phone artist and loved sharing paint program creations with family and friends.  She was an avid lover of animals and donated to animal charities whenever she could.

In her down time, Anne liked watching crime shows and crime documentaries as well as British shows.  She had an appreciation for rock music ranging from Bob Segar and Journey to ACDC.  She also took great pride in her family and was very involved in raising her grandchildren.

Her laugh (or rather, cackle) and her love of libraries and learning made her a joy to be around. She will always be remembered for her contagious spirit, her generosity and her kooky personality.

Anne is survived by her four children, Patty Donaldson of Indianapolis, David Donaldson of Washington State, Charles Donaldson (Kimberly) of Carmel, and Michael Donaldson of Indianapolis; and three grandchildren, Kyle Donaldson, Savannah Donaldson, and Sarah Donaldson.  Her husband of 54 years, Delzo, preceded her in death last year.

Services will be held privately.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to IU Health Joe & Shelly Schwartz Cancer Center.
