Victoria "Tori" Cook

August 12, 1995 — January 22, 2022

Tucson

Victoria "Tori" Trang Cook  passed away on January 22nd, 2022 in Tucson, AZ at the age of 26.

Tori was born to Tu-Anh and Stephen on August 12, 1995 in Indianapolis, IN where she grew up in the nearby town of Zionsville. From a young age, Tori was well-known to be dedicated, hard-working, and perseverant which she demonstrated throughout her education and many creative endeavors.

Tori graduated first from Zionsville Community High School, then from Purdue University with a Bachelor's degree in Pre-Physical Therapy and a minor in Art & Design, and finally from Indiana State University as a Doctor of Physical Therapy.

She maintained a passion for the arts and for animals throughout her life. Tori will always be remembered by her unique creations that range from illustrations, paintings, stained glass, and – her most beloved pastime – ceramics. These pieces of artwork live on in the homes of many people touched by Tori's life and talent. She even donated the proceeds of her art to the Brain & Behavior Research Foundation, which is only one example of how she prioritized others above herself.

Tori was also the best friend, sibling, and parent to many pets in her community, including her family dogs, Molly, Sydney, and Opal; her family cats, Arlo, Maeby, and Mango; and most notably to her own boston terrier, Tokyo. Any animal in Tori's vicinity was immediately drawn to her quiet, reserved nature; still, Tokyo's love for her was unmatched and obvious in their paired footsteps, nightly cuddles, and long hikes.

Her greatest love was for her family, especially her niece, Hazel Josephine Hook. Tori is survived by her grandparents, Thi V. Tran and Coleen Davidson; her parents, Tu-Anh Tran-Cook and Stephen W. Cook; her two siblings, Christina (Brian) Hook and Samuel (Corinne) Cook; and countless chosen family and friends. They ask that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Brain & Behavior Research Foundation in Tori's honor.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, An Thi Vu, and her paternal grandfather, Stephen W. Cook Sr.
