Thomas Martin “Tom” Mangold ,67, passed away April 20, 2024 at the Zionsville Meadows Nursing Home in Zionsville, Indiana.
He was born on February 19, 1957, in Detroit, Michigan to George Mangold and Marlene Meddaugh Mangold. He spent several years in Detroit before his family moved to Schererville, Indiana where Tom attended and graduated from Lake Central High, St. John, Indiana in 1976.
Tom was a very talented man who could design, build, maintain and repair anything. For many years, he and his partner ran a large paint contracting company called Paint Specialists in Houston, Texas. Subsequently, Tom relocated to central Indiana whereas a sole proprietor he did custom painting, remodeling and tile work throughout the area.
Tom was also a skilled hunter and loved to fish. He was very proud of and enjoyed riding his 1992 Harley Davidson motorcycle. He was extremely loyal to both family and friends, all of whom will join in mourning his passing. Tom had a very strong faith and his beliefs never faltered.
Survivors include his mother, Marlene Mangold; grandson, Raylan Henry; and sisters, Michelle Mangold (Butch Kidd), Jill Mangold (Sean Muldoon), and Marcy Mangold, who also shared a birthday with Tom (Dave Johnsen); brother, George Mangold (Philip Parker); and many nieces and nephews.
Tom was preceded in death by his father, George Mangold; and his only child, Cortney Mangold Henry.
Tom Mangold's Celebration of Life will be held on June 8th at the Lebanon Christian Church, 610 W. 250 N. , Lebanon, IN. It will begin at 11:00 a.m. and end at 3:00 p.m. It will start with a meet and greet for family and friends. Followed by a Service at 12:00 noon with lunch served afterwards.
