Susan (Scott) Richardson

Susan (Scott) Richardson of Indianapolis , IN died peacefully on September 5, 2022 at the age of 79.

Susan grew up in Oak Park, Illinois and attended Northern Illinois University.

As a single mother of three small children, she started her career and would eventually retire from St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis. After retirement, she became active in the St. Vincent Guild and coordinated the annual holiday shopping trip to Chicago for many years.

Susan was the life of the party, was always the first to arrive and never knew a stranger. She loved many things including music and sports, especially her beloved Chicago Cubs. One of her fondest memories was watching the Cubs win the 2016 World Series and reliving it with her grandsons.

She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Henry and Violet Scott; and husband, Michael Richardson.  Susan is survived by her brother, Norman (Clarice) Scott of Sun City West, AZ; her children, John Cadwallader of Westfield, IN; Carrie (Steve) Rivers of Brownsburg, IN; and Katie (Jommel) Gozon of Lewisville, TX; and her grandchildren, Jack Combs, Libby Cadwallader and Tyler Rivers.
