Zionsville

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Stephanie Dawn Heiser, cherished wife, mother and daughter. She passed peacefully in her Zionsville home on the morning of March 29th, 2026.

Stephanie was born in Silver Spring, Maryland, on June 15th, 1974, to William and Carol Haines. In her youth, she enjoyed spending time with neighborhood friends at Tanterra Pool, taking trips to D.C. and spending time on her grandfather's orchard in West Virginia.

Stephanie’s educational path was a testament to her commitment to excellence. A proud alumna of Sherwood High School in Olney, Maryland, she continued her studies at Penn State University for a short tenure before moving to Indiana University in Bloomington, where she earned her undergraduate degree in Kinesiology. She was a valued sister of IU Kappa Delta sorority, where her fun-loving and adventurous spirit flourished. Her pursuit of knowledge culminated with a Master's degree of physical therapy at the University of Indianapolis, equipping her with the expertise that would begin her passionate career serving special needs children in a school-based setting.

Her vocation was not merely a profession, but a calling. Stephanie’s gentle spirit and skilled hands brought hope, healing and joy to countless young lives. Her dedication to pediatric physical therapy was characterized by a deep empathy and steadfast determination, qualities that endeared her to families and colleagues alike.

Stephanie’s life was richly blessed by her loving family. She is survived by her devoted husband, Bradford Lee, whose enduring partnership was a pillar of her strength. Together, they nurtured a harmonious home filled with love and laughter alongside their three precious children: Elyse Vivian, Easton Lee and Everett Thomas. In addition, Stephanie’s circle was graced by countless friendships, which brought laughter, joy and a multitude of shenanigans.

Stephanie was an avid promoter of her children and their interests. You could find her at every Zionsville swim meet, cheering on her children or helping on deck as both an Indiana and USA Swimming official. She was a true supporter of all of her children's athletic journeys; she supported her son Easton with the Indiana Rowing Center and her daughter Elyse with the IU swim team. She truly was always one of the loudest in the stands.

As we reflect upon Stephanie’s life, we are reminded of a soul who touched the world with kindness, tenderness and unwavering dedication. Though her passing was sudden and leaves an ache within our hearts, her legacy endures in the lives she changed and the love she sowed. May her memory be eternal among those who loved her and in the countless lives uplifted by her grace.
