Sharon Kenton, born on September 28, 1955, at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, Ohio, passed away on July 2, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family.
She was the beloved daughter of Robert Nichols and Virginia Heywood Nichols.
Sharon devoted years to raising her five children. She later worked at the family-owned health food store, where she helped others discover natural paths to wellness.
While working at the health food store, Sharon met the great love of her life, John Kenton. Sharon and John were happily married for 24 years, sharing a deep connection and partnership. Together, they exemplified unconditional love for each other and their family. Their companionship and gentle spirits were a source of strength and joy to their children and grandchildren, leaving a lasting legacy of love that will continue to inspire future generations.
Sharon became a licensed massage therapist and Reiki Master. Her true passion was spiritualism. Sharon was an ordained minister, healer, and medium, dedicated to spiritual studies including astrology, and palmistry. Her gifts and wisdom led her to Camp Chesterfield, a spiritualist community in Indiana, where she made her home and served as President for a period of time, guiding and supporting the community she loved.
Sharon is survived by her husband, John Kenton; her five children: Carolyn (Russ) Little, Melody Green, Amy (David Law) Green, Emily (Ruben) Schultz, and Joseph Green; and by John’s children, Lisa (Craig Owens) Kenton and Celia Goings.

Sharon is also survived by her sisters Marcia, Cynthia, and Beverly.
Sharon will be remembered for her compassionate spirit, intuitive gifts, and devotion to her spiritual path and her family. She believed in unconditional love—a love she both gave and inspired in others. Sharon’s presence touched many lives, offering comfort, insight, and healing to all who knew her.
