Russell R. "Rusty" Massingale II

Russell (“Rusty”) R. Massingale II, 65, of Indianapolis, IN was commended into the arms of the Lord on May 14, 2026. Except for a short time in Texas after enlisting in the United States Army, Rusty lived all his life in Central Indiana. Rusty attended Brownsburg High School and many of his lifelong friendships were made during his time in Brownsburg. Rusty’s career included park maintenance for Eagle Creek Park in Indianapolis and in facilities maintenance at various facilities around Indianapolis. 

Rusty had a big heart, a great sense of humor and was a loyal friend to many throughout his life. He loved his family dearly and his friends and family are deeply grateful for the 65 years God gave Rusty to them. Rusty was preceded in death by his father, Russell R. Massingale I; his mother, Barbara J. Squier; and his sister, Jo Ellen (“Jodi”) Miller. Rusty is survived by his sister, Rita Payne; his brother, Tim Massingale; his step father, David Squier; and his step brother and step sister, Tim Squier and Kim Hull.
