Richard J. Weis

Richard J. Weis, 84, passed away peacefully at home in Carmel, Indiana, on November 4, 2026.

Born on March 19, 1942, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Dick lived a life anchored by devotion to his family, dedication to his work, and a joyful appreciation for life's simple pleasures. He spent his career in the food service industry. Dick enjoyed building and flying radio controlled planes and spending time in the sunshine, especially the beaches of Siesta Key. He was an avid Indy Car and Packer fan. Above all, Dick will be remembered for his humor, Sudoku, and Peanut M&Ms.  His family was an important part of his life. His memory will continue to live on in them and the love they shared. 

He will be deeply missed by his beloved wife of 61 years, Linda; his loving children, Rick (Diane), Julie (Rob), and Jodi; his cherished grandchildren, Sydney, Abigail, Brian, and Gavin. He was a dear father-in-law, uncle, great-uncle, cousin and friend to many. Dick was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Helen Weis; sisters, Suzanne Hagwood and Sister Helen Clarice; and brother-in-law, Hank Hagwood.

A Visitation and Funeral Mass will be held at St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church & School, 17102 Spring Mill Rd, Westfield, IN 46074 on Monday, November 16, 2026.  The Visitiation will begin at 10:00 with the Funeral Mass following at 11:00.

Dick will be remembered with love, gratitude, and deep affection by his family and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
