Polina Tseylin,
93, of Indianapolis, passed away April 13, 2018. She was born in Moscow, Russia on February 1, 1925 to Abraham Tseyln and Rachel Arinshtein. She earned her PhD in Chemistry from the Institute of Chemical Technology in Moscow. Polina was a chemist and became the Head of the Chemical Department at the Institute in Moscow. As a leader in her field, her name appears on over 200 patents in Moscow.
She is survived by her daughter, Irina (Vlad) Belov; grandson, Anton (Natasha) Belov; and granddaughters, Maria and Natalie Belov.
Polina was preceded in death by her husband, Boris Pozharskiy, who passed in 2006.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, April 15, 2018 at A.R.N. Funeral & Cremation Service, 11411 N. Michigan Rd., at 11 AM. Burial will follow at Indianapolis Hebrew Congregation North Cemetery.
