Pam, 68 years of age, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Mary Jean McComb and Cecil Teater. Pam attended Southport High School. Independent, adventurous and not short on beauty, Pam quickly moved to New York City and tried her hand at modeling.
Upon returning home, 23-year-old Pam needed a sofa and visited a local furniture store co-owned by furniture entrepreneur, Jack Klezmer. Jack offered a splendid deal in exchange for a date. Well, the date apparently went well. Jack and Pam married two years later.
At the youthful age of 25, Pam inherited three not always well-behaved step children - Lisa, Randy (Krystyna) and Douglas. Young and inexperienced, Pam exercised her strong work ethic and patience to navigate the ups and downs of step-mom hood. Yearning for children of her own, Jack and Pam later adopted two daughters, Shanna (Bill) and Lauren.
Pam and Jack enjoyed vacations, dinners out, snow and water skiing and tennis. Later in life, their kids began having children and she enjoyed the next phase. During these years, Pam began work for the Carmel-Clay Schools, in food service. She still worked hard, made money for her family, and was the worker spouse.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack in the fall of 2019; and by her sister, Becky (Donn) Culver. Pam is survived by three sisters, Christine (Gary) Sutton, Renee (John) Sgro and Ronda (Jim) Bandy; children; step-children; and numerous grandchildren.
Pam had a good life and sadly leaves us too soon at the youthful age of 68. RIP
