Nathan Voldman, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle and great uncle and friend, passed away on April 21, 2026.

Nathan was born in Kyiv, Ukraine, on October 6, 1939, to Leyb and Luba Voldman. He served in the Soviet Army as a drummer, and his love of music remained with him throughout his life. He cherished making music with friends.

In 1958, he married his beloved wife, Rachel. In 1978, they immigrated to the United States and made their home in Indianapolis.

Nathan built a long and dedicated career as a tool and die maker. He was also an avid collector of unique vodka bottles, knives and matchbooks, hobbies that reflected his curiosity and appreciation for craftsmanship.

He was known as a kind, generous, and community-minded man who was well-liked by all who knew him. Nathan and Rachel were longtime members of the Indianapolis Hebrew Congregation.

Nathan is survived by his wife of nearly 68 years, Rachel; his grandchildren, Gabriel, Alan, and Esther Gurevich; his great-granddaughter, Eleanor Gurevich; and his brother, Yuri Voldman.  His beloved daughter, Marina Gurevich and niece Karena Voldman, preceded him in death.

Graveside funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 23, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. at the Indianapolis Hebrew Congregation North Cemetery.
