Mildred (Millie) Lesher, 72, of Carmel, IN went to be with Jesus on July 10, 2025. Millie was born in Chicago to the late Juan and Isabelle Blanco.
In April, Millie and her beloved husband Robert celebrated 49 years of marriage. In addition to Robert, Millie is survived by her three children: Daniel (44) of Westfield, IN, Julie (41) (Eric) of Carmel, IN and Bradley (36) of Bend, OR; her two sisters Helen Dern and Nereida Richards; and her two Grandchildren, Emma Reed (11) and Miles Reed (9).
Millie was a woman of unshakable faith and boundless love, passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus, whom she loved with her whole heart and soul. Her life was a radiant example of deep conviction, compassion, and selfless devotion — to her faith, her family, and everyone blessed to know her.
Millie’s love for Jesus shaped every corner of her life. Her unwavering faith was not just spoken, but lived — powerfully, and with grace.
At the heart of Millie’s world was her beloved husband, Bob. Their love was deep and enduring, built on faith and friendship. Bob stood faithfully by her side through every season of life, including her final moments, just as he had from the very beginning.
Millie’s love for her children knew no limits — fierce, nurturing, and unwavering. And her heart somehow grew even bigger when she became a grandmother. Her grandkids were her pride and joy, and she cherished every second she had with them.
Her home was more than a house — it was a safe haven. The “go-to” spot for her children’s friends, it was a place of warmth, laughter, and unconditional love. Millie had a way of making everyone feel like family. Her hugs healed, her words encouraged, and her love never ran dry.
To be loved by Millie was to know a piece of heaven here on Earth. She leaves behind a legacy of faith, family, and Jesus’ love that will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Though she will be missed beyond words, her spirit will continue to guide, comfort, and inspire us.
