Matthew J. McCardle, 53 of Indianapolis, passed away December 15, 2011.
Matthew was born April 6th, 1958 in Indianapolis. He attended Butler University and IUPUI and received a Bachelor of Science from Indiana University.
Matthew was employed by IPL as the Community Relations Manager for Public Affairs. Previously, he had worked in employee communications. Matthew had also worked at the Indiana State Dept. of Highways, Community Hospital of Indianapolis (where he was active in Public Relations), The Indiana Dept. of Health, USA Group, and Sallie Mae.
Matthew is survived by his wife, Diana Banta West; stepchildren; Jessica Barton (Christopher) and Evan West; parents, John and Martha McCardle; sister, Lynne Stern (Richard); niece, Natalie Smith; and nephew, Ricky Stern.
There will be a Celebration of Life service on Sunday, December 18th at 2PM at the Aaron Ruben Nelson Mortuary, 11411 N. Michigan Rd, Zionsville, IN.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, America Diabetes Association, or Community Health Care Hospice.
