Mark "Moonstone" Douglas Cates

Mark “Moonstone” Douglas Cates,

63, of Indianapolis, passed away November 28, 2022.  A lifelong Hoosier, he was born to William Douglas and Patricia Cates on April 5, 1959.  He proudly served in the United States Navy. Mark was a tradesman and skilled at working with his hands.

He will always be remembered for his welcoming spirit. Mark never met a stranger and had a way of making everyone he encountered feel like an old friend.

He is survived by his siblings, John (Barbara Annette) Cates; Sally (Randall) Wilson, Cynthia (David) Bernd, Michael Cates, Peggy (Brad) Bernd, and Mary Joanne Rose Cates; and six nieces and nephews.

Services will be held privately.
