Mark Andrew Kniola

Mark Andrew Kniola, 52, of LaPorte, Indiana, passed away unexpectedly on August 3, 2025. He was born in Michigan City, IN to the late Bev and Ken Kniola on November 30, 1972.  

On September 5, 1992, he married the love of his life, Kathy (Hock) who preceded him in death.  

Mark was a dedicated electrician who spent his career working at a steel mill in Burns Harbor, Indiana. His commitment to his trade and the industrious spirit of the steel community exemplified his work ethic and passion for craftsmanship.

Mark loved the outdoors.  He especially enjoyed target practice and fishing.  Over the years he enjoyed his dogs and cats.  He was tender hearted with a wicked sense of humor.  He would never pass up a good bonfire with family and friends.  He always looked forward to his monthly get together with Uncle Al Kniola in South Bend to play pool.  He enjoyed lots of good times with his longtime friend Todd Childress.

Mark is survived by his brothers: Dwayne (Kim) of Indianapolis, IN, Tim (Lauren) of Zionsville, IN, and David (Laura) of Bridgman, MI; as well as four nieces:  Kassie (Will) Wisk of Channahon, IL, Alyssa (Ryan) Frye of Westville, IN, Alyson Kniola of Henderson, NV, and Meilyn Kniola of Zionsville, IN; as well as 4 great nephews and 2 great nieces.  

Mark will be greatly missed by all who loved him.
