In Loving Memory of Mark Edward Holsworth

 August 6, 1951 – October 22, 2025

Mark Edward Holsworth, born in Indianapolis, Indiana, on August 6, 1951, lived a life marked by service, integrity, and devotion—to his profession, his country, and his family. He began his career at Precision Fire & Safety before pursuing his passion for law. As an attorney, Mark served at Enron and later founded his own private practice, earning recognition for his contributions to the legal community. He was especially proud of his service to the Texas Court of Appeals and the Texas Grievance Committee.

A graduate of Indiana University and South Texas College of Law, Mark’s education laid the foundation for a distinguished legal career. His commitment extended beyond the courtroom—he was a proud member of the Master Masons, the Scottish Rite, and the American Legion, reflecting his deep ties to both professional and civic life.

Mark also served honorably in the United States Army, a chapter of his life that instilled discipline and pride. Outside of work, he found joy in reading, traveling abroad, and spending peaceful moments by the beach.

He is survived by his son, Brandon Holsworth, his wife Stephanie, and their children Jacob, Connor, and Evan; his daughter, Ashley Corinne Abouabsi, and her children Brian and Charlie; and his siblings Dr. Thomas Holsworth, Patricia Campbell, Susan Axelrod Tooley, and Miles Holsworth. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Patricia Holsworth, and his sister, Ann Heimann.

Services will be held at St. Edward’s the Confessor Church at 6361 North Keystone Avenue, Indianapolis, IN on November 15th at 12PM noon, with interment to follow at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.

Mark will be remembered not only for his professional achievements but for the warmth, wisdom, and generosity he shared with all who knew him. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched and the family he cherished.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mark’s honor may be made to the VA or to St. Edward’s the Confessor Church in Indianapolis, Indiana.
