Marian Goldstein

85, of Indianapolis, passed away August 24, 2017. She was born in Gary, IN to Morris and Dinah Tropp on September 16, 1931. Marian earned a Bachelor's degree and Master's degree in Elementary Education from Indiana University. She began her career as a 2nd grade teacher, working for 18 years in northern Indiana. In 1972, she relocated to Indianapolis, working as a bookkeeper for family furniture stores until her retirement in 2006. Marian was a member of Congregation Beth-El Zedeck and its Sisterhood, a lifetime member of Hadassah and a member of the Hooverwood Guild.

Marian is survived by her children, Robert (Beverly) Goldstein, Jack (Darlene) Goldstein, and Cheryl Collins; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerrold; brother, Henry "Hank" Tropp; and brother-in-law, Sidney Goldstein.

A funeral service will be held Monday, August 28th at 1 PM at A.R.N. Funeral & Cremation Services. Friends may call from 11 AM until the time of the service. Burial will follow in Congregation Beth-El Zedeck North Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hooverwood Guild.
