Lianfang Li, 84, of Carmel passed away peacefully on April 26, 2026 at Majestic Care of Carmel after a long battle with diabetes. She was born on August 20, 1941 in Emei, Sichuan Province, China, to the late Huangeng Li and Jingxiu Huang. She was married to her beloved husband, Zijia Li, for 55 years.

Lianfang moved to the United States in 2014 to be closer to her children. After settling in Indianapolis, she quickly became part of her senior living community and formed many meaningful friendships. She was known for her kindness, warmth, generosity, and positive spirit. Her home often became a gathering place for friends, where she welcomed others with delicious food, conversation, and activities such as mahjong.

Lianfang had a gift for singing and dancing and often brought joy to community events through her talent and enthusiasm. She had a caring heart and especially enjoyed helping others, including those with disabilities. She was hospitable, easygoing, and always willing to put the needs of other before her own. Above all, Liangfang was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was deeply loved by her family and will be remembered for her kindness, joy, and selfless love.

Lianfang is survived by her daughter, Mei; son, Yong; son-in-law, Jiansheng; daughter-in-law, Xuqian; granddaughter, Annie; grandson-in-law, Ken; grandsons, Andy, Haoyang, and Daniel; and great-grandson, Nico.
