Larry Dale Graves,
77, passed away peacefully at home in Zionsville, Indiana on February 6, 2022. He was born on May 24, 1944 to Sam and Marie (Akers) Graves in Shelburn, Indiana. He graduated from North Central High School in Farmersburg, Indiana in 1963. Larry served on the Speedway, Indiana Fire Department for 21 years, where he retired a lieutenant. He also worked for Citizens Gas in Indianapolis, Indiana for over 20 years.
Larry was a member of the Forest Park Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Brazil, Indiana where he served as a ministerial servant. He enjoyed fishing, golfing and spending time with his family. He was known for his great sense of humor.
Larry was preceded in death by his wife, Janice Lee Walter Graves. They were high school sweethearts and were married for 53 years. He is survived by his sons, Brent (Stacy Collins Graves) Graves and Russell (Juli Erhart-Graves) Graves; grandchildren, Cassie Graves, Rebecca Graves Bridges, Jillian Graves Garske, and Olivia Peavler Steadham; and nine great-grandchildren.
In honoring Larry’s wishes, cremation has been chosen and there will be no funeral services. The family has entrusted care and arrangements with ARN Cremation Services.
