Larke Renate Stuart

November 29, 1991 — December 9, 2025

Larke Renate Stuart died peacefully in her Indiana home on Dec. 9, 2025 after a 2.5 year battle with breast cancer. A week-long living wake was attended by her family, most intimate friends, and loyal pets.

Born in 1991, Larke and her twin sister Hadley joined the large and lively family of Donald and Constance as the youngest of seven. After her childhood and school years in Zionsville, IN, she attended the University of Montana in Missoula where she studied Psychology. Her curiosity and love of life took her to beautiful parts of the world where cherished memories were made with the people that she loved. Larke enjoyed being active outdoors by skiing in the mountains and hiking places like Superstition Wilderness, Glacier National Park, and the Appalachian Trail. She found joy playing soccer, biking, and gardening in her yard. Larke had a beautifully creative mind with a wonderful ability to express herself in her writing. Her creative flare frequently emerged in her various home projects or her legendary Halloween costumes.

After returning to Indiana, Larke continued her education and received a Master’s Degree in Human Resources Development from the University of Indianapolis. She was employed at Birge & Held and became the Director of Human Resources.

Larke’s life took on new joy and passion when she became a mother to her two daughters Hollyn and Rowan. Larke helped foster a nurturing network of family and loyal friends that became an integral part of her daughter’s lives. Her genuine, kind, and honest nature brought people in her life together and she will always be remembered for her unique humor, her adventurous spirit, and her bravery in following her heart.

Larke is survived by her parents Donald and Constance, her daughters Hollyn and Rowan (their father Stu), her siblings Chase (Lisa), Paige, Hale (Rachel), David (Saundra), Zoe (Jimmy), Hadley (Nick), her grandmother Mary Ellen, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
