Larisa Enker

Laura Enker, born on May 23, 1939, in Tashkent, USSR, passed away on August 4, 2026, in Indianapolis, Indiana. She was 87 years old.

Laura’s life stands as a testament to dedication, artistry, and resilience. Born in Tashkent, she cultivated her exceptional talent for music at the esteemed Tashkent State Konservatory of Uzbekistan. Her profound love and commitment to her art led her to pursue a distinguished career as a pianist. Throughout her life, Larisa touched many with her musicianship, enriching the cultural communities in which she lived and worked.

Laura is survived by her loving granddaughter, Anna Sanina, who carries forward the legacy of compassion and excellence embodied by her grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband, Yan Staroselsky.

A funeral service to honor and celebrate the life of Laura Enker will take place at Aaron-Ruben-Nelson Mortuary, located at 11411 N Michigan Rd, Carmel, IN 46077, on August 13, 2026, beginning at 11:00 AM. Family, friends, and all whose lives were touched by Larisa are invited to attend.
