Kim (Knapp) Tibbets

January 27, 1964 — January 23, 2021

Westfield

Kimberly Jean (Knapp) Tibbets gained her angel wings on January 23, 2021 at her home with her family in Westfield, IN.  Born on January 27, 1964 in Logansport, IN, Kim was the daughter of Bob and Carole Knapp. Kim graduated from Logansport High School then attained her Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Administration from IUPUI.

Kim thrived for 16 years after her initial cancer diagnosis. Kim was an inspiration, meeting each new challenge with her radiant spirit and strength, living each day to the fullest.  Her friends and family will be forever blessed with her loving nature, sense of humor and beautiful soul.

Kim is survived by the lights of her life, her daughters, Hannah and Ellye Tibbets and her beloved stepson, Brady (Sierra) Tibbets.  Kim is also survived by her husband of 21 years and best friend, Andy Tibbets.  She leaves behind one sister, Sue (Wes) Raderstorf; brothers, Terry (Patty) Knapp, John (Jackie) Knapp,  Bobby Knapp, and J.D. Knapp; several nieces and nephews; and her constant canine companions, Stella and Maizie.  She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Gary Knapp.

Special thanks to all of her friends who provided constant support, love and prayers; her work-family at Community/ProHealth for their unbelievable support for Kim and the entire family; and the clinical team at Community Cancer Center North for their amazing and compassionate care. Never forget the difference you’ve made.  The entire Tibbets family is eternally grateful to each of you.

Due to the pandemic limitations, a Celebration of Kim’s Life will be held later in the summer.
