Josefine (Jo) McColloch

Josefine V. McColloch, age 89, passed away peacefully on October 7, 2026, in Westfield, Indiana.

Born on August 24, 1937, in Munich, Germany, Josefine’s life began in a city rich with history and character, a place that remained part of the story of who she was. She was the beloved daughter of Josef Auggenthaler and Therese Auggenthaler, née Roetzer, both of whom preceded her in death. Josefine was also preceded in death by her sisters Therese Renner (Gehard), Charlotte Fischer (Walter) , her brother Hubert Auggenthaler (Freida), her nephew Hubert Auggenthaler and Teresa's father, Kenneth Watson. 

Josefine had a successful and rewarding career in the insurance industry, earning her CPCU designation in 1983, and going on to co-own McColloch Baker Insurance Agency Piqua, Ohio.  Jo later retired to Venice, Florida where she enjoyed long daily walks on the beach hunting for sharks teeth and other treasures.  An avid reader, Jo also enjoyed gardening, baking, knitting, traveling and spending time with friends and family. 

Jo will be remembered with love by those closest to her. She is survived by her daughter, Teresa Watson, and by her grandson, Benjamin Druschel. She is also survived by her niece Kornelia Leicht (Stefan). In their lives, her memory will continue with quiet strength and enduring affection, carried forward in the bond of family and in the love she leaves behind.

As her family and friends mourn her passing, they also honor a life that stretched across generations and places, and one that will be held in grateful remembrance. May Jo rest in peace.
