John A. "Shorty" Miller,
94, of Avon, passed away October 21, 2015. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Margaret; and parents, Hubert and Beulah Miller Roachdale, IN. "Shorty" was born January 13, 1921 and grew up in North Salem, IN. He owned Miller Masonry, Inc. for 55 years, served in the Army during WWII, and was a member of Avon United Methodist Church.
"Shorty" is survived by his sons, Gordon M. Miller and Joe David Miller; daughters, Nancy Jo Dubbs and Kimberly Irvin; 7 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.
Pastor Karen Devaisher will officiate the memorial services on Saturday, November 21st at 4 PM at North Salem United Methodist Church. Friends and family may call between 3-4 PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to "The Gathering Together" Hospice, 147 N. Center Street, Plainfield, IN 46168.
