84, of Indianapolis passed away December 11, 2015. She was born in Mt. Vernon, NY to Maurice and Priscilla Levine. Joan received her Bachelor's degree in Political Science and was a principal at Akiva School, a Jewish day school, in Nashville, TN.
She is survived by her daughters, Susan (Hercules) Costakis and Mindy S. Koch; grandchildren, Jessica and Ashley Hutchins, Stephanie (Kevin) Butler and Deborah (Matt) Berliner; great-grandchildren, Eli and Isaac Butler, Kai Berliner, and Jordan Fox; and sister-in-law, Sally Levine. Joan was preceded in death by her husband, Richard.
