Janet K. McKimmy

Monday, Dec.7, 2020, our lovely Janet, 81 passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus at her home. She loved life, loved the Lord her God, loved to laugh and had a beautiful smile.

Born January 16, 1939 at home in Freeland, MI, she was the daughter of the late Harold & Clistie (Brewster) Phillips. Janet married Jacob L McKimmy on April 7th, 1956 in Beaverton, MI. He preceded her in death (2007) as did her sons, Michael (2019) and Kirk (2016).

Surviving are two daughters, Patricia (Jeff) Mahoney of Noblesville, IN & Peggy McKimmy of Raleigh, NC; grandchildren, Jennifer Angelini, Jordan Mahoney, Jake Mahoney, Mallery Hermenitt, Audrey Greenshields & Chance McKimmy; and 7 great-grandchildren, Kaleb Mahoney, Raylee Mahoney, Milo Hermenitt, Isaac, June & Oliver Greenshields & Makiya Rich.

A memorial service in Noblesville, IN with be held at noon, Wednesday, Dec 30th at Life Church. Pastor Cathy Peternel officiating.

Janet's ashes will be placed next to her husband Jake in Beaverton, MI. All donations will be directed to NRN (Nicaragua Resource Network) and impoverished children in Central America.
