James Steven Maierson

James Steven Maierson, was born on July 13, 1955, in Indianapolis, Indiana, and passed away on February 24, 2026. Known for his endearing  personality, Jim touched the lives of many during his time with us. 

Having attended college, Jim was always eager to share his knowledge with others. He had a unique ability to connect with people, leaving a lasting impression on everyone he met. 

Jim is survived by his devoted sister, Susie Townsend (Bill), his nephew Matthew Fuson, his niece Rebecca Townsend, and his special friend   Merilou Hamman. He was preceded in death by his parents, Meyer and Tillie Maierson, who instilled in him the values of kindness and compassion that he carried throughout his life.

James Steven Maierson will be remembered not only for his warm spirit but also for the love he shared with those around him. May his memory be a blessing. 

Graveside services will be held in the Congregation Beth-El Zedeck North Cemetery on Sunday, March 8th at 11:00 a.m. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Indianapolis Hebrew Congregation.
