James Thomas DiSalvo (Jim)

James Thomas DiSalvo, known affectionately as Jim, passed away peacefully on August 1, 2026, in Indianapolis, IN surrounded by his loving family.

Born on September 17, 1945, in Wakefield, Rhode Island, Jim was the son of the late Peter J. DiSalvo and Mary “Honor” DiSalvo (Nolan). He was preceded in death by his brother, Dr. David DiSalvo, in 1975. Jim is survived by his brother, Dr. Peter (Mary) J. DiSalvo Jr.; his three sons, David (Abby) DiSalvo, Adam (Lawrence) DiSalvo, and James Jr.; and his two grandchildren, Elton and Vincent. 

Jim began his professional life in finance before pursuing his passion for business ownership. He spent much of his career in contracting and landscaping, where his creativity and craftsmanship brought joy to countless families. Whether designing outdoor spaces or installing a simple mailbox, Jim approached every task with skill and care. He was truly a jack of all trades who could do it all. 

Jim spent most of his life in the Dayton and Cincinnati, Ohio areas, later moving to Indiana to be closer to his son David and his grandchildren. His humor & hard work ethic will be remembered by all who knew him. A celebration of life will be held in the coming months. Please contact the family for details.
