Jack Briker

Jack Briker, born on March 11, 1952, in Odesa, Ukraine, passed away unexpectedly on July 29, 2026, in Cypress, Texas. His unexpected departure has left a profound void in the hearts of the family and friends who cherished him.

Jack’s life was one marked by steadfast dedication to the people he loved and an enduring spirit shaped by his origins in Odessa. Though the circumstances of his passing were sudden, the legacy he leaves behind is one of unwavering family bonds and lasting memories.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Polina Briker, whose partnership and companionship were central to Jack’s journey through life. Jack’s steadfast devotion to family was also felt by his son, Mark Briker; daughter-in-law, Lauren Briker; grandson, Brayden Briker; Eli Briker; daughter, Stella Barr; son-in-law, Patrick Brien Barr; granddaughters, Finley Barr; granddaughter, Frankie Barr; sister, Maria Vyshko, with whom he shared cherished memories and lifelong support; and all her beautiful big family!

Preceding Jack in death are his father, Iona Briker, and his mother, Zina Briker. Their influence and teachings helped shape Jack’s character, leaving within him a deep well of kindness, resilience, and generosity that he, in turn, shared warmly with others.

Jack’s story began in Odessa—a place whose culture and values remained with him throughout his life. His journey later brought him to the United States, where he built a life filled with love, perseverance, and purpose. A funeral service to honor Jack Briker’s life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on August 4, 2026, at Aaron-Ruben-Nelson Mortuary, located at 11411 N Michigan Rd, Carmel, IN 46077. He will be laid to rest close to his parents at the Indianapolis Hebrew Cemetery North.  Following the committal services, friends are welcome to join the family at the Gerbofsky residence at 3334 Walnut Creek Drive North, Carmel, IN 46032.
