Carmel

Ira Sheriden, passed away peacefully on June 11, 2026, in Carmel, Indiana. Born on September 27, 1941, in McKeesport, Pennsylvania, Ira lived a life marked by commitment—to his career, his country, and most importantly, his loved ones.

Ira proudly served his country in the Army, and pursued higher education to earn a Bachelor’s Degree from Monmouth College, laying a foundation for a successful professional career.

For the last 30 years, Ira was a respected figure in sales at Penske Honda. Beyond his professional achievements, Ira’s passions extended to the finer things in life. He had a profound love for opera, appreciating the art form’s emotional depth and beauty. Equally, his heart belonged to his family, who were his greatest joy. He also found great pleasure in watching sports, often sharing that passion with those close to him.

Ira is survived by his beloved wife, Dana Sheriden; his son David Sheriden and his daughter, Danielle Sheriden. He also leaves behind his sister, Meryl Sheriden, along with nephews Jesse Doherty and Jarret Doherty, and niece Linnsey Andrewes. His grandchildren Ella and Jacob Sheriden, and his 4 grand-furbabies Blue, Murphy, Reggie, and Cash. They, alongside all who knew him, will remember Ira’s warmth and kindness.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Michael Sheriden, and Lee Sheriden, as well as his in-laws Abe and Mae Lehner whose memories remained close to his heart.

A graveside service to honor Ira’s life will be held on June 15, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Beth El Zedeck North Cemetery, located at 9938 Eller Road, Fishers, Indiana 46038.
