Henry Thu Nguyen passed away peacefully at his home in Avon, Indiana, on March 23, 2026. Born on January 6, 1962, in Saigon, Vietnam, Henry's journey through life was marked by a dedication to his work and a profound love for his family.
Henry’s educational foundation was completed through high school, after which he embarked on a career that saw him become a respected machine operator. Known among those closest to him for his quick wit and humor, Henry was a man whose laughter could brighten even the most somber days. He treasured the time spent with his beloved wife, Yen Thi Phan, an accomplishment he held closest to his heart.
Henry is survived by his loving wife, Yen Thi Phan, who shared in his joys and supported him through life’s challenges. He is also mourned by his mother, Bay Thi Tran, his sister Nancy Nguyen, and his good friend Son Huynh, all of whom valued his companionship and kindness deeply. He was preceded in death by his father, Tony Nguyen, whose memory Henry carried with great respect.
A prayer service to honor Henry's life will be held on April 1, 2026, beginning at 9:00 a.m. and concluding at 1:00 p.m. at Aaron-Ruben-Nelson Mortuary, located at 11411 N Michigan Rd, Carmel, Indiana. This gathering will offer those who knew him a solemn opportunity to reflect on his life and legacy. An Lac Temple of Indianapolis will be conducting services. Chùa An Lạc – Indianapolis, IN
