Gordon “Buck” C. Moore,

66, of Westfield, passed away August 9, 2020 following a devasting battle with sarcoma.  He was born in Smyrna, Tennessee to Dr.James and Shirley Moore on April 17, 1954.  Buck was a graduate of The Webb School in Bell Buckle, Tennessee, and the University of Memphis - Herff College of Engineering and was a Certified Fraud Investigator {CFE}.  He began his medical data analyst career with Mid-South Medical Foundation.  He then worked for 20 years at Heath Care Excel in Indianapolis before retiring from IBM – Watson Health in Columbus, OH. Buck was an avid scout and attained his Eagle Scout. He loved literature and poetry. He had a near photographic memory and often quoted his favorites. He could spin a tale like few others. He coached t-ball, was a devoted Cheer Father and never missed a game. Wine making became a passion later in life. He was generous in life and gave freely of himself to others. He was 20 a gallon donor for the blood bank. He loved family and never missed a Thanksgiving gathering in Lynchburg.

Buck is survived by his wife of 38 years, Janna; children, Holly (Brad) Rodgers, granddaughter, Chloe Rodgers; sons - James Matthew Moore, and Andrew (Natalie) Moore; siblings, Karen (Robert) Waugh, John (Katherine) Moore, Tom Moore, and Scott Moore; nieces, Christina Moore, Cana Moore, Bethany Moore, and Moriah Moore; and nephews, David and Evan Waugh, and James and Ian Moore; and two faithful dogs Mercy and Mittens.

Private services will be held in Lynchburg, Tennessee at a later date with burial in the Lynchburg City Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers we ask that Memorial contributions may be made to
