Born December 26, 1929, in Elmhurst, IL and raised in Emmalena, Kentucky. He was a star basketball player during his high school years and loved watching basketball throughout his life. Bud's heart has always been for the people of his native roots of southeastern Kentucky and to this day is involved in the mission of Scripture Memory Mountain Mission - Camp Nathanael, Emmalena, Kentucky, established in 1932 by his mother and father.
Special gratitude is extended to the staff at Prairie Lakes Health Campus for the excellent care they provided.
