Frances Irene Maxwell was born on January 23, 1952, in Charleston, West Virginia. She was the only daughter of Charles and Ruby Montgomery. Fran married Bryan Maxwell on November 3, 1973. She worked for an insurance company as she and Bryan saved for their wedding. Fran and her mom sewed her wedding dress together. She spent most of her adult life serving children, working as a childcare provider, preschool teacher, after school care homework helper, and her favorite roles, mom and grandma.
Fran's faith in Christ was the driving factor in how she lived her life. She gave sacrificially to her family and her church. She always looked to Mary as a biblical example of womanhood. Praying the rosary was part of her daily life. She loved 1950s comedies, doing puzzles, and cooking. She had a deep appreciation for natural beauty created by God, flowers, rainbows, trees, animals, and a colorful sunset. Fran was proud of her family and loved watching her grandsons play sports. A highlight of her life was taking a pilgrimage to the Holy Land with her church family. She will be remembered for her peaceful nature, joyful laughter, and strong loyalty.
The Lord called his daughter home on November 13, 2025. Frannie is survived by her husband, Bryan; her daughter, Cindi (Ben); as well as her grandsons, Joshua, Camden, Kasen, and Kian.
