Floyd “Doc” Melvin Gillaspie,

73, of Franklin, passed away unexpectedly on October 19, 2022. He was born in Lebanon, Indiana on May 18, 1949 to the late Clarence and Mary Lou Gillaspie. He proudly served in the United States Marines. Floyd worked many years as a truck driver, bartender and farmer.

Floyd is survived by his daughters, Jessica (Joseph) Moore and Chantil (Marcos) Gillaspie; and grandchildren, Jordyn Gillaspie, Julius and Journey Moore, Victoria Newkirk, Noah Johnson, and Isabella Canizales.

Celebration of Life will be held on November 26th from 12 – 3 PM at the Mad Hatter Bar and Grill, 2949 South Meridian Street.
