Donald Eugene Akers of Spencer, Indiana, passed away quietly in his sleep on August 10, 2025 at the age of 84. He was born in Kokomo, Indiana to the late Ray and Maxine Akers on November 4, 1940. He relocated to Spencer, Indiana in 2000.
Donald was preceded in death by his first wife, Odabelle June Akers in 1989; his second wife, Barbara Ann Akers in 2021; and his son, David Akers in 2024, as well as his sisters Jane Ann Akers and Deloris Cunningham.
He is survived by his son, Donald Eugene (Kelly) Akers; daughters, Donna (Ken) Sibenac and Joan Bridges; grandchildren, Donald E. III, Hannah Nichole Akers, Samantha Waltman, Hunter McLain, Trista, Henrey, and Kegan Bridges; 15 great-grandchildren.
