David L. Cederholm, born on November 22, 1945, passed away on April 25, 2025. He was a dedicated individual who firmly rooted himself in service to his community. Most notably, David worked as a Contract Protective Security Officer for the Federal Protective Service, where he exemplified commitment and professionalism throughout his career.
David was a proud graduate of Broad Ripple High School. Following his education, he served honorably in the United States Air Force, a testament to his dedication to serving his country. After his military service, David cultivated a passion for collecting, particularly as a coin collector, and he ran an online retail business specializing in memorabilia, with a particular focus on the Civil War era. His hobbies reflected his affinity for history and craftsmanship, allowing him not only to engage with his interests but also to share them with others.
He leaves behind a loving family, including his brother, Doug (Julie) Cederholm; nephews, Patrick and Andrew Cederholm; and nieces, Babette Miller and Nicole Cederholm. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Otto Cederholm and Dorothy May McClellan Cederholm Graetz, and his brother, Charles Scott Cederholm.
A funeral service honoring David's life will be held at 1 PM on Friday, May 2, 2025, at Aaron-Ruben-Nelson Mortuary,11411 North Michigan Road. Burial will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery.
Friends, family, and all who were touched by David's life are invited to attend and celebrate his contributions to those around him. His memory will endure through the lives he positively impacted, leaving a legacy of dedication, service, and passion for history.
