Cynthia Lee Zinn

February 28, 1938 — April 26, 2025

Westfield

Cynthia Lee Zinn departed from this earth on April 26, 2025, in Westfield, Indiana. Born on February 28, 1938, in McCrory, Arkansas, Cynthia was always an Arkansas girl at heart but moved to Zionsville, Indiana in 2010 to be near her grandchildren.

She was a devoted daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and friend. Cynthia always put the welfare and happiness of others ahead of her own needs.

Cynthia truly had a servant's heart and a generous spirit. Her years as an in-home caregiver showed her compassion and dedication to the well-being of others, touching the lives of many with her warmth and kindness.

She loved being outdoors -- pushing a lawnmower, planting flowers, and being up to her elbows in topsoil. She loved her Razorback football (Go Hogs!) and her Indianapolis Colts (Peyton Manning never had a bigger fan than her). She also enjoyed seeing both of her grandchildren play sports in high school (Go Eagles!). Music was always playing (especially Elvis), and a hot pot of coffee was always nearby.

Left to cherish her memory are her son, David Zinn, daughter-in-law, Cindy, her grandchildren, Kimberly and Grayson Zinn, sisters Nedra Cain and Debbie Rupert, and a brother, Bruce Cain. Family meant the world to Cynthia, and she loved every moment spent with them.

She was preceded in death by her parents Cecil and Johnie Cain, her brother Robert Cain, her sister Charlotte Green, and her granddaughter Alyssa Zinn.

Her life was not an easy one and health issues took a toll later in life, but the compassionate care of Maple Park Village helped her make the most of those later years. And through it all Cynthia kept her joyful smile and sense of humor to the end. She never complained of her own circumstances in life because her compassion and sympathy were always focused on others.

Cynthia's request was to be laid to rest in a private ceremony in Indiana next to her granddaughter Alyssa.

Cynthia will be dearly missed by all who were blessed to know her. Her family lives in the hope of one day seeing her again in the presence of the Lord.
