Christine Margo (Chisholm) Meserve

Christine "Chris" Margo Meserve, age 72, of Indianapolis, passed away October 11, 2023. She was born in Bremerton, Washington to the late Harold Chisholm and Marjorie Smith on August 1, 1951.

Her legacy is carried on by her beloved husband, Arthur Clarke Meserve; daughter, Jennelle Cristina Hodge; son, Sean Daniel Hodge and his children Daniel, Savanna and Sara; step-daughter, Jennifer Morey Baldwin; and brothers, James Smith and John Chisholm and their families.

While Chris earned her college degree at the University of Oregon in Eugene, a Master’s degree in psychology and worked as an insurance disability claims manager, her true passion was being a mother and taking care of family. She also loved animals, particularly horses and dogs, and had a very close bond with Pica, a beloved feline member of the family for 17 years. She enjoyed playing tennis, achieving a professional rank at the local level, and later was an avid watcher of the sport. She loved reading, music and concerts, dining out, the ocean waves, fishing, epic games of scrabble with her husband, family game nights of Trivial Pursuit and Yahtzee, and holidays with family.

Chris will be lovingly remembered for her combination of shyness and boldness, putting others needs before her own, and her quirky sense of humor. Her family has lost a great light from their lives with Chris’s passing; her legacy of love will live on in their hearts.
