Charyl Rena Janney

December 20, 1964 — April 25, 2021

Charyl Rena Janney

56, of Indianapolis, passed away April 25, 2021.  She was born in Alexandria, IN to Robert and Cleda Janney on December 20, 1964.  Charyl attended Broad Ripple High School and received her Associates degree from Indiana University Purdue University of Indianapolis.  Her talents included art, photography, landscaping and teaching art classes.

Charyl was an active artist and enjoyed participating in the art gallery, Acceleration Art and Photography.  She loved being surrounded by a variety of people.  Charyl always encouraged other artists and maintained loving relationships with everyone she met.

Charyl’s greatest joy was her family and grandchildren.  Charyl is survived by her devoted best friend and companion of 30 years, Gary Lynn; his daughter Cindy (Lynn) Dodd, who she looked upon as her own and her son in law; Michael Dodd.  Her grandchildren; Cameron Beaver-Marsh, Carter Dodd, Parker Dodd, Liam Dodd, Noah Dodd and Austin Dodd; and 2-great grandchildren.  Her nieces and nephew; Tiffani (Chandler) Blackford, Cora Chandler and Michael Chandler.  As well as her uncle, Ancil Burke.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, aunt and parents.

She will be missed by family and many friends.  Charyl loved motorsports and motorsports photography.  She enjoyed many years of crewing and supporting her partner, Gary Lynn’s racing endeavors.  When you met her, you knew immediately that she was a unique and loving person.  If you met her, you would never forget her.

Charyl’s choice was cremation and in lieu of a funeral, she wished to have a memorial celebration at our family’s gallery.  Acceleration Art and Photography, date to be determined.
