Carolyn Mae Wallace

Carolyn Mae Wallace, of Indianapolis, died March 29, 2024, after a brief illness.  She was born in New Castle on September 23, 1934, to Virgil, Sr. and Vesta Hughes.  Mrs. Wallace was an insurance representative for American States for 25 years before retiring.  

Mrs. Wallace is survived by her sister, Nancy Berry, of Holland, Michigan, and by many beloved extended family members.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Curtis Wallace, Jr., in 2003, parents and six siblings-Violet Guffey, Loretta Hughes, Kaye McIntyre, Mary Brown, Virgil Hughes, Jr. and Michael Hughes.

There will be no calling hours or funeral services. Private graveside services and burial will be at Beech Grove Cemetery, Muncie. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
