Buenita Joyce Greenbaum
May 20, 1951 – January 2, 2026
Buenita Joyce Greenbaum passed away peacefully on January 2, 2026, in Westfield, Indiana, at the age of 74. She was born in Rochester, New York, on May 20, 1951, and graduated from the University of Miami. She was a preschool teacher for 30 years.
At the heart of Buenita’s life was her family. She was the beloved wife of almost 51 years to David. She was a proud and devoted mother to her daughter, Julie, and adoring grandmother to Addison, Sam, and Max Krodel, who were the light of her life. She found joy in cooking, traveling, shopping with loved ones, and simply being together.
The family is deeply grateful for the compassionate care provided by Wellbrooke of Westfield and ARN Hospice, as well as for the love and support of the family and friends who surrounded Buenita.
She is survived by her husband, David Greenbaum; her daughter and son-in-law, Julie and Mark Krodel; her grandchildren, Addison, Samuel, and Maxwell; her sisters, Maxine (Steve) Rickson and Joy Rosa; her nieces and nephew; many cousins and many dear friends who were like family to her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Larry and Sally Levy, and her brother, Jolee Levy.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, January 7, at 11:00 a.m. at Congregation Beth-El Zedeck North Cemetery. Shiva will be observed at the home of Julie and Mark Krodel on Wednesday and Thursday from 6 - 8 pm.
