Brenda Kay Snider,
67, of Zionsville, passed away July 19, 2024. She was born in Indianapolis to the late Jack and Frances Pointer on April 9, 1957. Brenda attended college and worked for Methodist Hospital as a quality assurance representative for many years.
Brenda also worked for Option care doing medical billing. It wasn’t uncommon for Brenda to hold two or three jobs at a time to make ends meet as a single mom. Brenda never turned a kid or stranger away at meal time. If you needed a meal to eat or a place to lay your head, Brenda’s home was always the place to go. It wasn’t uncommon for Brenda to turn a bathroom into an exotic rescue for injured wildlife. Brenda’s love for animals made it very hard to say no to adopting an orphaned pet.
She is survived by her daughters; Lora Snider (Tom Riedlinger), Melissa Lloyd (Michael Hornung), Nicole Hopper (Matthew Hopper), grandchildren; Dakota, Samantha, Daylan, Landon, Keaton, Trenton, Ashlyn, Skylar, McKenzie, Kennedy, Elijah, and Cole, great granddaughter; Julianna, and her cousin; Kim Elzea.
Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Frances Pointer, her late husband Larry Snider, and granddaughter Samantha Riedlinger.
A memorial gathering will be held Friday, July 26th from 1 - 4 PM at Aaron-Ruben-Nelson Mortuary, 11411 North Michigan Road. The eulogy and time of sharing will be at 3:30 PM.
